             So how is the USA Rice Federation working with the World
             Gourmet Summit this year? For one, it has sponsored two
             awards that we feel is a big part of what the USA Rice Federation
             is all about: the passing of a traditional skill and gift to the next
             generation. We are proud to put our name on the Apprentice
             Chef and the Chef Mentor of the Year 2022 awards, as we feel that
             all the finalists named represent what the USA Rice Federation
             wants to showcase: knowledge, skill, tradition, and creativity.
             We’re glad to greet the recipients of these two awards: Chef
             Ronald Chew, a student of Temasek Culinary Academy who
             emerged victorious in the culinary challenge at  At-Sunrice
             GlobalChef Academy held in April this year; as well as Chef
             Eric Neo, whose work as Executive Chef at InterContinental
             Singapore and as President of the Singapore Chefs Association
             has shown his leadership as well as his mentorship skills. We’re
             hoping to find ways to work with them in the future, and inculcate
             them into the work of what the USA Rice Federation believes in.
