Eco-Friendly Fun with Pernod Picard and ecoSPIRITS

Eco-Friendly Fun with Pernod Picard and ecoSPIRITS Pernord Ricard and ecoSPIRITS have partnered to launch a pilot program that will deploy a closed-loop distribution system to ensure that you get to be sustainable while enjoying your tipple or two.

With Singapore as the launch city as well as a goal to partner at least 30 bars, the pilot program whereby bars use the ecoTOTE to purchase and store the spirits -is estimated to eliminate more than 4,400kg of glass waste and save more than 3,400kg of carbon emissions in the initial six months – equivalent to around 80 flights for a passenger from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.

Three bars in Singapore are already partaking in the program and receiving the spirits in an ecoTOTE format- the award-winning MO Bar, Republic Bar Singapore, and Smoke & Mirrors, where one can enjoy an inventive cocktail while ensuring the environment is well taken care of.
The drinks to order listed accordingly.  Journey from MO bar, where the classic Gin& Tonic is made via dehydrating leftover citrus and combined with discarded tea from the bar’s high tea operations and carbonated with Beefeater London Dry Gin”.

Sunday Spritz by Republic Bar is another libation made from citrus stock (leftover peels are used) and paired with Absolut Vodka.  The Laquer-Tini by Smoke and Mirrors is made with a concoction of Havana Club 3 Rum, jasmine verte, sugar and a dash of citric acid – which reduces the wastage of fruits.

“Singapore is home to a celebrated bar scene with a growing crop of sustainable concepts and eco-conscious consumers. So, for us, there’s no better place than Singapore to launch our first pilot program with Pernod Ricard,” said Paul Gabie, CEO of ecoSPIRITS.
