A Grand (Reserve) Reception with Vilmart & Cie!
Champagne can be a very passionate thing for people to get into, and for Mr Laurent Champs, this time it’s personal.
As a member of the 5th generation of the family running the Vilmart & Cie. champagne brand, he’s keen to showcase and share with people the traditions and the work his family has put in. In a masterclass held in VUE, the proprietor of Vilmart & Cie dialled in from his home in France to give a talk and lead the masterclass on his brand, and the different champagnes available at Vilmart & Cie.
Diners got to taste 6 of the champagnes from Vilmart & Cie as Mr Champs led the masterclass through the history of the brand, the different champagnes, it’s notes and what dishes would work best to pair with these wines. With that in mind, Chef Sam Chin of VUE paired up the champagnes with different canapes as designed by him and th team, and the masterclass ended off with a Q&A session with Mr Champs, as well as a tasting of the different champagnes available.
Champagnes that Vilmart showcased during this event included the Vilmart Grand Reserve NV, the Vilmart Grand Cellier NV, and the Vilmart Emotion 2012.
