BOSCHENDAL LE BOUQUET, WESTERN
CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA, 2018
TYS: This colour is a pale yellow with a slight touch WINE + VINE
of green, on the nose, similar as well. White flowers,
a bit of tropical fruit character. It has a slight tinge of
greenness, like asparagus like nose. The palate is a little
sugary, with a slight sweetness to it. Would work with
a touch of spice, maybe a chicken or a fish dish, with a
little spice, like a green curry or a spice dish.
DK : The colour is a shiny lemon yellow. On the nose
it’s very aromatic and typical from Muscat. You get
fruit flavours like peach, white peach, melon and white
melon. It’s a dry wine but I can feel a natural sweetness,
maybe 4g of sugar per litre. The characteristic of wines
from Muscat is dominant in the wine glass. This can be
paired with white fish, to moderate the thickness of the
sauce or the wine.
Their choice: baked fish (TYS & DK)
MATETIC VINEYARDS, CORRALILLO
GEWÜRZTRAMINER, SAN ANTONIO
VALLEY, CHILE 2017
RS: This Chilean is crystal clear, pale yellow, and the
aroma has a little smokiness to it. With the tasting
notes, it’s a little citrus-y, and has a balanced tannin
finish. It would go well with creamy chicken curry, like
butter chicken, because the wine will go well with mild
spices.
AA: This is a pale lime yellow colour wine, aromatic
style, with a nose of lychee, orange skins, and stone
fruits. Dominating flavours.
Their choice: chicken meatball kebab
