Pssst….World Gourmet Summit Goes Local Again with Private Dining Chefs!
After the highly acclaimed collaborations between private dining chefs and restaurants last year, the World Gourmet Summit brought in an exclusive dining experience with Chef Taro from Takayama and private dining chef Vincent Pang for the first time together from 7-9 June 2022.
Response to this event was overwhelming and tickets were sold out within hours of release.
It was a unique collaboration between Chef Taro and Chef Vincent with the fusion of Japanese ingredients and methods with Thai flavours. Thai cuisine is usually overpowering, and the balancing act of Japanese influences ingredients creates a power-packed meal.
One of the diners said “More often than not, the collaborations between chefs have not been up to expectations, and perhaps it is for celebrations rather than looking for great new dishes. In Takayama, Chef Taro, and Chef Vincent the duo hit the ball out of the park with delicious food, pleasant surprises, and fun, energetic performances!”
This result is only possible with mutual respect between both Chefs. Their chemistry for each other’s food was built through time as they met, planned, and tasted together umpteenth times. Their passion and love for food were clearly displayed in their menu which they diligently worked hard together.
If you are bummed out that you missed out on such an amazing experience, fret not. The World Gourmet Summit has cooked up another WGS Goes Local Again Series featuring PasirPanjangBoy and Chef Masahiko at Reve happening next month - 6 to 8 July 2022!
