Hendrick's Latest, Neptunia Comes Ashore!
Gin lovers have a selection of botanical taste profiles to pick from, but one bottle that inspires gin enthusiasts to experiment and be creative has always been Hendrick's Gin.
With its latest release, Neptunia Gin, Hendrick's wants to create a splash.
The new limited-edition Neptunia gin was inspired by the wonderful melody of waves that mesmerized Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie, while she strolled along the nearby beaches. It was created on the grounds of the prestigious Hendrick's Gin Palace, located on the rough Ayrshire coast of southwest Scotland.
“Most of my creations are based on memories – I play around with botanicals and combine them to recreate certain sensations. Hendrick’s Neptunia, for me, is that freeing feeling of the sea bottled in a gin. You have that distinctive fresh character of coastal herbs, depth of flavour from the sea botanicals and an unmistakable clean, bright citrus finish that lifts and lightens in a round, refreshing way that makes it Hendrick’s.” said Ms Gracie.
Hendrick’s SEA launched a special preview for media on 23 March at the Sea Aquarium, Resorts World Sentosa. We were given the opportunity to taste Hendrick’s Neptunia with Hendrick’s Neptunia Fizz, Hendrick’s Neptunia & Tonic and Hendrick’s Red Snapper. Our personal favourite was Hendrick’s Red Snapper.
HENDRICK’S RED SNAPPER Recipe:
50ml HENDRICK’S NEPTUNIA
100ml tomato juice
15ml fresh lemon juice
1/9tsp salt
1/16tsp black pepper
3/8tsp hot sauce
3 cucumber rounds, sliced thinly, for garnishing
● Assemble HENDRICK’S NEPTUNIA, tomato juice, fresh lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce in a cocktail shaker over ice.
● Stir to mix and then pour into a highball glass filled with ice.
● Garnish with 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber. Serve immediately.
