Friday Supper Club Nights With Deliveroo: What Statistics Have Found Out!

Friday Supper Club Nights With Deliveroo: What Statistics Have Found Out!  It’s become clear that food delivery has become more of a norm in Singapore, especially after what happened in 2020. With late night supper being a Singapore tradition, it is clear that delivery for late night cravings had to happen.

So, Deliveroo has taken time to scour through late-night orders to uncover Singaporeans’ late-night food guilty pleasures from April 2020 to July 2021,  collected using Deliveroo Singapore’s order data from 12:30am to 2am between April 2020 to July 2021. And some of the statistics they have uncovered are fascinating to observe! For example: late orders for Deliveroo has risen three-fold, with more ordering in after-hours on weekends and Mondays. Trends such as at-home celebrations with close family and friends have continued, as affirmed by Deliveroo’s data, with the most expensive late-night order a selection of liquor from an alcohol merchant, amounting to a grand total of $724.

But what are the cuisines that work for these late-night feasts? Go-to local comfort foods, it seems. Dishes like Dry Mala from Labula Mala Hotpot Chinese Cuisine, Signature Bak Chor Mee Pok from Huang Da Fu, Signature Wanton Fu Noodles from Wanton Fu, Wanton Noodles from Fei Fei Wanton Mee (Joo Chiat) and Pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut, are favourites.

They also managed to pick out trends as well as what was popular in the different regions of Singapore. Residents in the Western part of the island (specifically Bukit Timah and Queenstown districts) fancied Italian cuisine, while foodies in the North-Eastern and far Eastern areas (Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Katong and Geylang districts) ordered more Western food. Night owls in the Central (Novena and Toa Payoh districts) chose to satisfy their sweet tooth with deserts, while residents in the North (Sengkang and Punggol districts) favoured delicious dim sum.
