Esseplore and At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy Partner to Grow The Local Private Chef Scene
At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, the award-winning culinary and hospitality school has signed a partnership with AI-driven food and travel platform, Esseplore, to grow the local private chef industry by an estimated $3 million.
In 2002, At-Sunrice pioneered the private chef certification at the Fort Canning Campus - a foundational certification that introduced the repertoire of skills and cuisines a private chef should have to plan, design and cook meals at events.
“Early this year, we asked ourselves what we could do for our bumper crop of more than 1,000 graduates last year. We realised we were in a unique position to provide professional pathways for private chefs just like we do for our diploma students,” said Dr Kwan Lui, Founder of At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy.
First to Provide Professional Pathways for Private Chefs
“Together with Esseplore, we will be the first to offer private chefs a structured pathway to start, grow and digitally accelerate their business,” said Dr Kwan Lui.
The Academy’s role will be to train and certify private chefs, while Esseplore will onboard At-Sunrice certified private chefs onto its digital platform so customers can order their home-based creations or book them for private events.
“Private chefs graduating with a diploma or certificate from At-Sunrice will give customers a greater sense of confidence that they have gone through the rigours of chef training and certified by a premier, quality culinary academy like At-Sunrice,” said Ms Poh Mui Hoon, Co-Founder and CEO of Esseplore. “Esseplore provides the immediate platform for these private chef graduates to start their private chef business after they graduate. While they concentrate on their passion for cooking, Esseplore takes care of everything else.”
