No Children Allowed

No Children Allowed A Californian Restaurant has put its foot down when it comes to loud crying babies and children. It may seem like a drastic policy to be implemented by the restaurant but it is one that they hold on to seriously. The old Fisherman’s Grotto situated on the Monterey Peninsula’s historic Fisherman’s wharf has plastered its controversial policy for all to see in plain sight. The policy stating no high chairs or booster seats will be permitted on the premises, while loud children and crying babies are not allowed to sit in the dining room is displayed on their signage and website. The policy has been implemented for 2 years and it has made some members of the public uncomfortable. Chris Shake, the owner believes that the rules that he has placed should be adhered and if it makes one uncomfortable then they should find another place to dine. Surprisingly, even with some negative reaction, the policy has not affected the business. Chris said that he has never had a declining year since his 20 years in business and that the business is growing.
