San Francisco Chef Chris L’Hommedieu dies

A famous and revered San Francisco chef, Chris L’Hommedieu, departed on Wednesday after his arduous battle with cancer. He was 44 years old when he passed on. L’Hommedieu was honoured one of the city’s best chefs, the muscle man behind restaurants run by big-name chefs like Michael Mina, Thomas Keller and Nancy Oakes. His friends fondly described him as the Kevin Bacon of the Bay Area food world for his connection with everyone and anyone. He had been a mentor to many budding young chefs.
