Set up a pair of siblings in Singapore, The Food Bank Singapore Ltd, acquires donated food and make it available to those in need through a network of community agencies to provide food for those living in hunger. FoodLanthropy is an initiative launched by Food Bank Singapore to raise 180,000 meals. Held in celebration of World Food Day, do your part on 18 Octtober from 11am to 4pm at Orchard Central, by purchasing a Korean Bento for S$40 from Sarang Korean Bistro. For every meal purchased, it will contribute 25 meal packets to the Stop Hunger Now programme to end world hunger. Each meal packet contains highly nutritious dehydrated rice, soy, vegetables, flavouring and 21 essential vitamins and minerals. These are easily transported to crisis-burdened areas or supplied to school feeding programmes.
