The competition embarked on its journey from way back in May and has finally come to an end. With participants from all around the world and having sampled some of Beijing’s finest new restaurant and some of Beijing’s expat foodies, the last four contestants were told to prepare their own version of a dish in Huaiyang with the ingredient; fish. Coming up with their own alternative to the traditional Huaiyang fish, incorporating with elements from their own country. When the votes came in, Elyse Ribbons from America stood out with her ‘Detroit Rock Fish’ winning the most votes. She was humble despite winning, praising her fellow competitor’s dish, but she was the only one to walk away with a set of professional ceramic knives and a special dinner at the China World Hotel restaurant.
