What has been troubling citizens of the United States and what has been controversial is the US government shutdown with the failure of both houses of Congress in reaching a deal over a new budget. Needless to say, many were affected by this and for a California couple, their dreams are about to be crushed... Or not. Receiving news that her dream wedding is about to be crushed due to the closing of the Yosemite National Park where their wedding will be held, Joy Miller was devastated. Having vested US$15,000 on a non-refundable deposit for the wedding, both Joy Miller and fiance, Adam Brown, are getting all the help they can get. News travelled and San Franciso Chef Jen Stakich helped the couple out by contributing her time to create a wedding menu for the couple and her kitchen facilities for the perfect wedding. Although Chef Stakich’s primary reason for lending a hand is purely political, the couple can at least have something to look forward to.
