Tighter Regulations For Phuket Town Restaurants

Faced with heavy pollution in the waterways throughout Phuket Town, officials are gearing up to lay down tighter regulations and law against all restaurants in implementing grease traps. For those who do not follow, will not have their operating permits renewed. This implementation is the result of the flooding problem faced in Phuket Town due to food waste and fat dumped by restaurants, causing a blockage of water to flow from the canals to the sea. With the implementation of grease traps by restaurants, it will greatly prevent further wastewater pollution.
