New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has started a taste of New Zealand in Dubai, Taiwan, and Singapore. Held in Dubai, the 2014 Taste New Zealand chef competition took its debut with aims to raise awareness of the diversity and quality of New Zealand food and drink products in UAE. Ten chefs had to compete in a one-hour cook-off. In Taiwan, kiwi pies were on the menu, exhibited at the 2014 Taipei International Bakery Show (TIBS). 50 new recipes using New Zealand ingredients were also created by Taiwanese pastry chef and his team. In Singapore on the other hand, products were introduced in a pop-up store as well as in Cold Storage supermarkets.
