Singapore Lifts Food Ban On Japanese Produce Restrictions that were imposed on several prefectures after the Fukushima nuclear accident will be lifted on all Japanese food imports with immediate effect. These include fruits and vegetables, milk and milk products, meat, green tea and green tea products, and rice. The AVA would also like to assure the public that food imported from Japan that is available in the market is safe for consumption, and that they will continue to monitor the food imports to ensure that they comply with Singapore’s standards.
