Brought to you by Magnum Spirits & Wine, the World of Wines returns for the second time to bring you a two day wine appreciation fest! Held at Singapore's Swiss Club, Magum Spirits & Wine has set up stalls, with each representing a winery or a company from across the globe. With around 23 world-class wineries, we were treated to over 50 labels but it feels like we drank more than that! We began with a tour around the area, visiting each booth and by the time you reach the second booth, you would have drank about 10 labels or so. It is a good event to just take your time and try out little sips of the wines especially when freshly shucked oysters, roasts and a selection of French cheeses are slowly served when the clock strikes "it is off-work time!" With each booth you visit, you're attended by only the professional to explain the little details of the wines on your palate, from origin to taste profile, to the makings of the wine. We had the advantage of purchasing the bottles at wholesale prices but we shall keep the amount silent in case you go green with envy or red with fury.
