Robot Invading Restaurants With fast food workers going on strike to increase their wages, some fast food restaurants have begun looking into replacing food servers with robots.  The concept of food servers being replaced by robots is not one that all industry observers believe is a definite threat. Some argue that it takes time to introduce new technology to any business scene and it is therefore unlikely that robots will be serving burgers in fast food restaurants in the immediate future. However, some restaurants have already begun to introduce elements of robotic service into their dining rooms.  Applebees and Chillis have made moves to replace some of their floor servers with tablets so that customers can place orders and pay for food without having to interact with a human. Similarly in Singapore, there are restaurants that also implement tablet usage for placing orders. Will we be replaced by robots eventually?
