Pay Less Attention To Expiry Dates

Food expiry dates have always been more of a guideline than a rule to most supermarket bosses, who admitted that they have eaten food that have gone past their expiry dates. According to one supermarket chief, Dalton Philips, his rule of thumb is to “smell it”. Food that has gone bad would certainly give off an unpleasant odour signifying that it is best thrown away, but otherwise, it is likely that the food is still safe for consumption.
