Hua Ting, Asian Restaurant of the Year winner at the World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence 2014, presents the new Rice Dumpling with Stewed Pig Trotter and Preserved Mui Choy for this coming Dragon Boat Festival. Also available for purchase is the healthy Five Grains Dumpling with Wild Mushrooms, and the signature Rice Dumpling with Roasted Meat in Hong Kong style. The Dragon Boat Festival occurs on the 5th day of the 5th month of the traditional Chinese calendar, and the story best known in modern China holds that the festival commemorates the death of the poet and minister Qu Yuan. This week we will be featuring a number of restaurants that will be introducing their versions of the traditional dumpling.
