The Awards Of Excellence, part of the World Gourmet Series happened this month, and not too long later (like now), the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards is here! In replacing last year’s winner; Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca, Noma from Denmark has taken the throne and squeezing El Celler de Can Roca to take second place. However, Noma still has some way to go in defeating Spain’s El Bulli four successive wins. Other winners in the top 10 include New York’s Eleven Madison Park, Spain’s Mugaritz, Brasil’s D.O.M., Spain’s Arzak, London’s Alinea and The Ledbury. Although Nahm was voted as Asia's Top Restaurant, Nahm took the 13th place in World's 50 Best Restaurant. Well Singapore did not fare too badly with Restaurant Andre coming in 37th and Waku Ghin in 50th. On the other hand, the 2014 Metro Restaurant of the Year Awards taking part in New Zealand has awarded a new Auckland restaurant-Masu, with multiple awards, leading them to be the ultimate winner. Masu scooped up awards like Best Smart Dining, Best New Restaurant, Best Chef, and Best Drinks List. Congratulations to all restaurant winners!
