With its origins from Berlin, Germany way back in 1971, this ’toilet restaurant’ concept has been a hit in Taiwan in recent years and has now set foot on the United States, California. This ’toilet restaurant’ concept introduces seats that are made of ceramic toilets, tableware that is toilet-shaped and even desserts that are shaped like a dung. This restaurant, Magic Restroom Cafe, has indeed imported the concept from Asia and although one might wonder if this concept will be accepted by diners, the crowd appearing at the restaurant says it all. After a wave of free publicity, Magic Restroom Cafe is packed with diners and so far, the 68-seating restaurant has been fully taken with hungry diners waiting at the lobby.
