A restaurant with three Michelin stars is now trying to up its customer service game by Googling its customers before they arrive. Grub Street report claims that Justin Roller, the maître d’ performs internet recon on guests to ascertain things such as birthdays and anniversary dates to provide a better experience for them. If it's a birthday, for instance, he wants to wish them "Happy Birthday" when they arrive. He would also look for photos of the guests in chef's whites or posed with wine glasses, which may suggest that they might be chefs or sommeliers themselves. Is this good service or just plain creepy? Read on at http://arstechnica.com/staff/2014/04/when-the-restaurant-you-googled-googles-you-back/ and make your call.
