The Majestic… Herbs?

If you’ve been to Majestic Restaurant, then you would have come to know how exquisite Chinese food can actually be. You might have been used to having street food or just plain normal restaurant food where unlike Western cuisine, does not require much plating work. Well on this night, Chef Yong Bing Ngen of Majestic Restaurant worked with Masterchef Arron Huang who came down from Taiwan to join hands in creating authentic Chinese cuisine with the use of herbs from Eu Yan Sang to create a night of nutritious and nourishing lifestyle. Featuring a king prawn that’s truly king-sized and more, the dinner was well balanced in terms of taste, where the usual bitterness from herbs are almost absent, but with the essence attached. Some of us did not get enough out of the dinner where we wanted to learn more about the incorporation of herbs and cuisine that we went down for the Eu Yan Sang workshop at ToTT Store! Both chefs were really gracious in sharing their recipes for three dishes featured during the dinner and how much difference it makes in having an eight treasure dessert at a restaurant. The time and effort spent on preparing, cooking, and plating should not be undermined.
