Deliveroo Partners with TOUCH Community Service to Introduce Meals-On-Wheels Planning to order a meal from Deliveroo? Help feed an elderly client on the way, by selecting a $5 meal option from three restaurants: CC Premium Bento, Rong Kee Roasted Delights and Ming Kitchen Seafood as part of its Meals-On-Wheels (MOW) initiative.

The MOW programme is a meal delivery service for elderly clients who live alone and are unable to prepare their own meals. This initiative comes in collaboration with TOUCH Community Services and its restaurant partner, Chang Cheng Group. Since 2018, Deliveroo has enjoyed a successful partnership with TOUCH with volunteer riders delivering approximately 520 meals to 50 beneficiaries in Boon Lay and Jurong West.

After a $5 meal is donated by a Deliveroo customer, Deliveroo will then compile the donated meals and deliver them weekly to TOUCH’s elderly clients in the western region across a one-month period.

“We hope to mobilise Singaporeans across the island to buy a meal for the elderly the next time they check out their orders on Deliveroo, and join us as we band together to give back to those in need,” said Siddharth Shanker, General Manager, Deliveroo Singapore.

The first delivery to the elderly clients will commence on 19 November 2019 and run until 19 December 2019. Deliveroo will be assessing the initiative’s success, to continue and potentially build on the partnership after its initial run.

To pay a meal forward, customers can make an order from CC Premium Bento, Rong Kee Roasted Delights or Ming Kitchen Seafood.
