Hubers Butchery and Toriyama organised a tasting for members of the industry, media members and chefs to showcase the best of what Toriyama has to offer with regards to Japanese Wagyu.
Hosted at VUE Sky Bar and Grill, chefs as led by Executive Chef Sam Chin prepared a four-course menu that was meant to showcase the best of Umami Wagyu.
Speaking at the event, Wataru Toriyama, director at Toriyama Cattle Farm Ltd, spoke about the versatility of Umami Wagyu. “ While most would assume Wagyu was all about the marbling, we want to make sure that all facets of Japanese Wagyu was shown, not just the fattiness of the marbling.”
Guests got the chance to try all 4 courses as well as appetizers using the trimmings of the different cuts of meat, from knuckle, gooseneck round, chuck roll, short plate and brisket.
