Baking Your Way Into The Industry The Singapore Bakery and Confectionery Trade Association held a workshop to showcase new products in the markets created specially for bakers and pastry chefs.



Held at Allspice Institute, the workshop took the opportunity to demonstrate the newest techniques and recipes in bread using a variety of different yeast, sugar, filling and flour, all supplied courtesy of sponsors Prima Singapore, MZT and REDMAN by Phoon Huat. Chef Huang Tzung Chen led the workshop by demonstrating the latest techniques in baking bread to interested bakers and enthusiasts, using the Convotherm 4 easyTouch BAKE, the newest model in Fabristeel and Wellbilt's line.



Guests also were able to see the consistency of the yeast and flours when used for baking, and gauge for themselves the texture and quality of the dough through samples made earlier, and were also treated to sample the bread to see the end results for themselves.
