Can-structing the Largest Race Car Sculpture Made of Tin Cans in Singapore
by CWA
@ 23 Aug 2019
Ayam Brand, a Singapore-born household name in Asia, which has been creating memorable meal occasions for families for over 125 years, collaborated with the award-winning Royal Plaza on Scotts to create the largest race car sculpture made of tin cans in Singapore. This project went through several rounds of revision since early 2019 before finalising the end product in light of the Formula 1 Grand Prix Singapore 2019.
The sculpture is built with over 8000 Ayam Brand tin cans, and is 4.5-metre-long, 2-metre-wide and 1-metre-tall. After the showcase, these tin cans will be recycled.
If you are heading down to see the race sculpture at Royal Plaza on Scotts, be sure to also visit the donation box place along the race car and contribute generously. Proceeds will go towards the Sing’theatre’s “Sing Me A Story @ NUH”, a community outreach programmes and site-specifc project that brings songs, music and storytelling straight to the beds at the paediatric wards at National University Hospital (NUH).
Also, to celebrate race week, stay in town at Royal Plaza on Scotts, just minutes away from the action. Guests who stay two nights or more can enjoy up to 25% off Premier and Royal Club Premier Rooms, and an exclusive race week Ayam Brand git pack (while stocks last) together with the hotel’s signature perks – a complimentary in-room minibar and unlimited mobile data with pocket WIFI to surd and share on the track. Promotion is valid for stays from 16 to 26 September 2019.
