Sustainability in food is not just about the choice of food anymore. Trends from 2018 have shown that more consumers also put in a lot of focus on more sustainable packaging options for food items, which has carried over to 2019.

Far from the past of using massive amounts of plastic and styrofoam, food producers are looking at more diverse packaging, from a return to glass containers that show the product inside, to innovative creative materials used.
