Sustainability & The Slow Food Agenda Across Europe, countries are starting to implement policies to stem the degradation of our natural environment. Speaking in Turin, Italy, European Comissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis addressed biennial conference Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, speaking on the topic of food waste being a major issue in the region, the use of antibiotics and its dentrimental effect on farming, and the importance of moving the industry towards sustainable food.
