Gastronomy Giant Joël Robuchon Passes Away At Age 73

In another hit to the culinary world, French chef and restaurateur Joël Robuchon passed away this Monday, a year after he received treatment for a pancreatic tumour. Called "The Chef of the Century" by Gault Millau back in 1989, Chef Robuchon was the most decorated chef in Michelin history, and was responsible for mentoring some of the culinary world's greatest and most well known, including Eric Ripert, Gordon Ramsay, and Michael Caines. An outpour of tributes and rememberances followed the news of his death, with many paying respects to one of the greatest culinary icons who lived.
