My Cofi today runs two shops in Kaohsiung. “The second shop, which just opened in May this year, is meant as a place for young people to hone their craft,” says Chang. Her daughter, Li Ching Yun, 23, demonstrates the making of three drinks in this video – a hot chocolate with 3D art of three kittens, a ‘mushroom’ milk tea made with local red tea, and drip coffee made with house-roasted beans from Panama. “If you bring along a photo, we can recreate it as 3D latte art on the spot,” says Chang. “We hope that the skill of latte art can be passed down from one generation to the next.”
