Located on Stevens Road,
FiSK is a seafood restaurant with a retail corner where you can discover ingredients from Norway and other Nordic countries.
“Cooking is one of the several things that can help us create these moments of satisfaction and well-being that so many hunt and long for,” says Norwegian Chef Markus Dybwad. “In providing that, I find most satisfied.” Everything you find on the menu, which include cold entrés such as trout tataki with celeriac and horseradish, and sashimi selections from Tsukiji and the North Atlantic, can be found at on the retail segment of the restaurant.
Be sure to try the soups, such as langoustine with coconut cream and kaffir lime, and smoked salmon broth with scallop, foie gras, and shiitake, as well as seafood ‘charcuterie’, where you can sample salmon, mackerel, and herrings in their smoked, marinated, and cured forms, accompanied by scrambled eggs, mustard dip, and sour cream.
Look out also for a house-smoked salmon, christened ‘Pulpit Rock’ after the iconic landmark in Norway. By smoking air-flown salmon in-house without freezing before or after, Snorre Food is able to create smoked salmon which tastes less salty. Try having it with flatbread, rye bread, or sour dough.
