Singapore Food & Services Industry - Statistics According to infographics released by Statistics Singapore in November 2017, the top three business costs for the food and beverage industry are purchase of goods and materials, remuneration of kitchen staff and service crew, and renting of office, shops, and other premises. Restaurants and food caterers manage between S$6,000 – S$7,000 of operating receipts per square meter in a year, while fast food outlets garner close to S$12,000 per square meter.
