Singaporean Chef Brandon Foo Becomes a World-Class Caterer

Self-taught Brandon Foo, 31 chef-owner of Le Bistrot du Sommelier and his mentor Chef Patrick Heuberger, 42, Assistant General Manager (Retail) of Huber’s Butchery were in Lyon, France not too long ago. Bold and bright was the Singapore flag that was worn on their chef jackets. The 4 dishes that were presented that day at the International Catering Cup were laboriously practiced over and over within a year. Going up against 11 other teams from around the world, Chefs Brandon and Patrick won 3rd place despite it being the first time Singapore was represented.
