World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence 2017

Held at One Farrer Hotel & Spa on 27 March, the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence has been recognising local and regional talent in the industry for the past 17 years. Chef Petrina Loh of Morsels received Chef’s Choice Award for Western Cuisine, as well Kühlbarra’s Gourmet Retailer of the Year award goes to Huber’s Butchery, Meat & Livestock Australia Rising Chef of the Year is Chef Kenneth Oh of Gattopardo Ristorante di Mare, while Chef Samuel Quan of Element on Tras Street is the At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy Apprentice Chef of the Year.
The MKN Chef of the Year is Chef Julien Royer of Odette, while the Halton Group Executive Chef of the Year is Chef Christopher Christie of Marina Bay Sands. Chef Kenny Kong of Resorts World Sentosa is the Academy of Pastry Arts Malaysia Pastry Chef of the Year.
