Limousines Powered By Used Cooking Oil

The Westin Singapore has tied up with biodiesel maker Alpha Biofuels to convert its used cooking oil into biodiesel for its limousines. This is the latest effort on the part of a hotel to become more eco-friendly and conscious of the environment and certainly a good way to go. The two Jaguar sedans are used to ferry guests to and from the hotel and airport. They will now run on used cooking oil collected from the hotel’s kitchens and converted into biodiesel by the local company. This is the first use of recycled cooking oil in automobiles in Singapore and may be a trend of the future as people seek to go green.
