Maldives: Hurawalhi Island Resort
The adults-only, five-star resort is located on the Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, with accommodations coming in the form of 60 overwater Ocean Villas or 30 Beach Villas. Amenities on the island include a spa, as well as five F&B options – one of which is an undersea restaurant 5.8 metres underwater. Land activities include tennis and beach volleyball, while water activities include guided snorkelling or diving trips, windsurfing and paragliding. Rates start from US$701 per night net, inclusive of service charge and taxes.
Australia: The Ultimo Hotel
The 95-room hotel in Haymarket, Sydney, bills itself as the world’s first astrology hotel, where the daily horoscope is included with their newspaper and slippers come in matching zodiac signs. There is property-wide complimentary Wi-Fi, a barista coffee station and an astrology library in the lobby. Astrologer Damian Rock has created city guides that recommend places to eat and drink, or see and do, for each of the 12 star signs. As an opening offer, the hotel is offering 20 per cent discount off its astrology packages for February and March. Packages start from A$229 (US$176).
