Boosting Local Food Fish Production

As Singapore seeks to become increasingly self-sufficient, it has looked to boosting the production of food on her own territory. In line with this policy, Republic Polytechnic has just opened an aquaculture centre to teach and train students in their new Diploma in Marine Science and Aquaculture course. The move is supported by the government, which seeks to increase Singapore’s production of fish. The course also allows students to go on 16-week long internships with industry partners, to learn experientially about the aquaculture industry.
