World Gourmet Summit: Awards of Excellence

Eight Awards Of Excellence (AOE) 2016 finalists were sent across the globe to some of the world’s foremost dining establishments or wineries as part of the Overseas Development Programme (ODP) to enhance their skills and talents, which is in line with STB’s goals to groom local talents into industry and service leaders.
Six of the finalists was at the ODP Sharing Session held on the 6th December including Chef Daniele Sperindio, Mr Gerald Lu and Chef Kenny Kong who went to Alinea, Chicago, various Champagne & Burgundy vineyards in France and L’Atelier Hugo and Victor in Paris, France respectively, shared their experiences and highlighted how far they have advanced in their skills and knowledge on 6 December 2016, at an ODP Sharing Session in Arn Nan Alfresco Bar + Bistro by IndoChine.
The search for the next ODP candidates will be progressing into its third year alongside the ongoing voting campaign of WGS-AOE 2017, which has seen a positive surge in number of votes and new nominations for recognising 36 established and emerging Food and Beverage (F&B) and Hospitality stars. AOE is one of the most respected accolades in Singapore and around the region. Thirty six awards will be recognized with the recipients announced at the awards presentation ceremony, coinciding with the opening reception of the World Gourmet Summit 2017, on 27 March 2017.
