Swissôtel Merchant Court reopens after 18-month makeover

With a goal to better align itself with the needs and expectations of the modern day travelers, the famed hotel underwent a major refurbishment that lasted a little more than 18 months. The numbers of rooms have increased as well as additions to its facilities – such as a handy smartphone that is included in all rooms, allowing ease for guests to surf the internet and also make international calls to 10 selected countries for free!
For guests with kids, there are adjoining rooms providing complete convenience for the whole family. Rooms come decorated with toys and books as well as Xbox and Wii games also installed in the rooms.
In addition, the hotel has also debuted Pürovel Spa and Sport in its premises. The city’s first luxury Swiss spa sanctuary is inspired by the natural vitality of the Alpine seasons which spa promises intimate moments of relaxation with each visit.
New Menu at Crossroads Bar by Culinary Champion Chef Louis Tay
A gourmet menu of Asian inspired tapas is curated by Chef Louis Tay, the hotel’s Executive Chef and also the team manager of the Singapore National Culinary Team. The Crossroads Bar also offers light breakfast options and afternoon high-tea in both classic and Peranakan styles.
Its head bartender, Mark Graham Thomas offers bespoke cocktails concocted with his own house-made syrups and sodas, with nuances of local fruits and herbs from the hotel’s very own garden.
