Chef Sandro Falbo, Executive Chef of The Fullerton Hotel makes Singapore proud by clinching the top spot!
Kenny Chung, 21, currently working at Mandarin Oriental finished at 4th place for the Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy(DEYTT) Culinary Competion, ensuring greater wins in the future for Singapore. His goal is to one day represent Singapore as a national team member.
The Disciples Escoffier Young talent Trophy (DEYTT) is one of the most important culinary competitions in Asia, held in 8 regions including China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore. It took place between March and June this year. Winners of the national selections will compete at the Asia Final at the restaurant and Bar show in Hong Kong in September 2016.
Disciples Escoffier is a French association of top chefs encompassing more than 2500 chefs in over 26 countries. Disciples Escoffier is dedicated to lauding a perpetual evolution of cooking and gastronomy. Over eight years DEYTT has discovered and trained a multitude of chef talents through apprenticeship with top chefs in Asia that prepares them for various competitions. Transfer of knowledges is one of the core values of the disciples Escoffier.
