Bringing back the beers of the 18th and 17th century at LeVeL33 LeVeL33, home to the world’s highest urban craft brewery, has sought inspiration from the past,  digging into the history books to brew the most authentic beers possible.

For Oktoberfest, Gabriel Garcia, Brewmaster of LeVeL33 has done some history work as far as the wedding celebration of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, Ludwig I in 1810 to come up with his new creation, Festbier. The drink is refreshingly smooth and medium bodied, with an interpretation of clean and crisp flavours.

Another distinctive brew is the Pumpkin Ale, which derived from the American colony when malt was scarce. Creative brewers, namely George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, then turned pumpkins to provide the starch and sugar content needed to make the beers.
