Singapore to bask in the glory of Michelin Star On 21 July, Michelin unveiled the selections for the Michelin Guide Singapore 2016. Having a Michelin Guide in Singapore truly reflects the rich gourmet landscape this red dot has to offer. "Singapore is a real crossroads of trade and commerce, with multiple culinary influences and repertoire that is enjoyed by both locals and visitors,” comments Michael Ellis, the International Director of the Michelin guides.

Upholding the true French fine dining experience, Joël Robuchon walked away with three Michelin Stars, being the first three michelin starred restaurant in Singapore. A double win for them as L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon also walked away with 2 Michelin Stars. Other winners of two Michelin Stars include André, Odette, Les Amis, Shoukouwa and Shisen Hanten. In an addition to these establishments, 22 restaurants - encompassing all different types of cuisine - won their first star. Among them are two hawker restaurants Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle. With the addition of Michelin Stars to our name, Singapore has truly become a Gourmet Destination.
