Canandian Chef Joshna Maharaj arrived as a head chef of Scarborough Hospital in 2011. There she taught the kitchen staff how to make flavour-packed meals for patients. Replacing bland prepackaged meals offered in the hospital, she prepared meals with seasonal fruits and vegetables, and meats from local producers.
Her works have touched patients, providing quality, healthy and tasty grubs for many. Her work has landed her a nomination in the Basque Culinary World Prize, an award honouring chefs around the world who improve society through gastronomy.
