Huang Ting restaurant recently opened its doors at IMM, offering West-siders familiar Cantonese flavours with a contemporary twist. "Our dishes at Huang Ting Restaurant are artfully created to exhilarate the palate with delightful yet unexpected flavours," says owner Susie Pok. " At the same time, it treats diners to age-old traditional delicacies, reminiscent of the rich Cantonese culture." Helming the kitchen is Chef Alex Chuh, who has worked at restaurants like Peach Garden and Hua Ting before. Using his skills and creativity that he has amassed over the years, he has created an innovative menu that whets diners' appetite.
Must-orders include a savoury and soul-warming chicken millet consommé with bamboo pith served in hot stone; crunchy, addictive and flavourful morsels of crispy chicken cooked with almond flakes and dried chilli; clean tasting and naturally sweet assorted vegetables with shiitake mushrooms perfumed with a hint of truffle oil; and an absolute crowd-pleaser stewed crab meat vermicelli in egg white sauce, which delivers a heady aroma and a trinity of sweet, salty and tangy tastes. To complement the dishes, a range of teas, cocktails and mocktails are available.
