The Glenlivet Single Cask “Kinrossie”

The Glenlivet Single Cask “Kinrossie” On 7 April 2016, The Glenlivet, the world’s No.1 single malt Scotch whisky launched The Glenlivet Single Cask “Kinrossie” Launch, held at The Luxe Art Museum at  6 Handy Road, as an exclusive new bottle embodying the purest expression of The Glenlivet style to date. I was not able to be present, but was able to sample a glass at the offices of Pernod Ricard offices on 20 April 2016. The taste and flavors are simply stunning.

The Glenlivet Single Cask “Kinrossie” was drawn from a single Hogshead cask picked for its exceptional quality, and has been crafted to provide the closest experience possible of drinking a dram straight from the cask, to offer whisk lovers the purest expression of The Glenlivet style. As it has been transferred purely from the cask to the bottle, The Glenlivet Kinrossie Single Cask Edition has been bottled at 60.5% cask strength and without chill filtration.

The Glenlivet is no stranger to crafting whiskies that have not been chill filtered, such as with its famed The Glenlivet Nadurra series. Alan Winchester, the Master Distiller for The Glenlivet, had a hand in the crafting of The Glenlivet Kinrossie Single Cask Edition. In this case he had decided not to chill-filter. The process of chill filtering is where substances in the whisky are removed before bottling. The main reason to chill filter a whisky is actually purely cosmetic. The subject of chill filtration is a current hot topic in the whisky industry. It is looked upon badly by some, as consumers demand more natural or organic products in all areas of their lives.

With fewer than 250 bottles available for purchase, this exceptional edition of The Glenlivet has been created exclusively for the Singapore.
