The Authentic Thai Brunch Experience Now Available At Long Chim, Singapore When we speak of celebrity chef David Thompson, all that pops to mind is his legendary Nahm, which has made itself a fixture on the world’s 50 best restaurants list and was the first to have been adorned with the glitzy Michelin Star in Thai cuisine. With the debut of Long Chim located at the upper echelons of Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, it’s finally the touch of having a celebrity restaurant within our reach that will dish up the finest and the most tantalising flavours from the streets of Bangkok with a contemporary touch.
Alongside to Long Chim’s regular à la carte menu, the restaurant is now introducing a brunch menu that is available exclusively on weekends from 12pm to 4pm.

It combines the finest of street food with the notion of communal dining in this brunch menu despite covering a fixed range of appetizers, mains and desserts throughout its 10 courses. Selected from signatures among the à la carte menu of Long Chim, the 10 courses reflect the way meals are served in the Thai culture where food is served concurrently and it is common to serve more dishes than the number of guest seated for the meal.

With four appetizers to begin, highlights include the Grilled Long Eggplant With Dried Prawns and Steamed Egg that would come across as being tangy but a tad strong from the fish sauce dressing and the spicy Crunchy Prawn Cakes that arrive as tiny batter-crusted Thai prawns with bites of curry leaves and chilli. Continue the meal with a scoop of khao (rice) to complement the four mains like the typical Green Curry of Chicken with Thai Eggplants and Chillie, the Sun Dried Squid with Garlic and Peppercorns, the fresh and sweet Grilled Tilapia in Salt Crust or the Chinese Broccoli with Crunchy Pork and Oyster Sauce that is a result of influence of the Chinese to the Thai culture. Finish the meal with a Coconut Cake, otherwise known as Kanom Baa Bin in Thailand, and the Black Sticky Rice and Pandanus Noodles which is basically Chendol done Thai style with the added edge in milky richness from the heavy flavour of pandan, Thai palm seed and Thai coconut.

We leave the best for last because this 10 course brunch is priced affordably at SGD$60++ per person and includes a bespoke cocktail made with a Thai twist!
