Executive Pastry Chef Bastien Jerry Joins Pan Pacific Singapore

Hailing from Bordeaux, France, Executive Pastry Chef Bastien Jarry oversees the daily operations of the pastry and bakery department, and leads his team in the creation of innovative desserts and breads. He began his culinary career in France where he honed his pastry skills in the kitchens of renowned restaurants such as three Michelin starred restaurant Plaza Athenee in Paris, and Hotel Martinez in Cannes.
In 2007, driven by his passion for travelling, Chef Bastien decided to leave France and set sail on the Crystal Symphony Cruise Liner as Chef de Partie (Station Chef) of the Pastry division. In recognition of his talents and abilities, he was then promoted to Senior Chef de Partie aboard the liner. The ship eventually made her way to Singapore in 2009, and Chef Bastien joined local tea company TWG Tea as an Assistant Pastry Chef. He eventually joined Ku Dé Ta as Pastry Chef where he was recognised as one of the Top 10 Pastry Chefs in Singapore in 2010 and nominated for Pastry Chef of the Year in 2011 and 2012 by the World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence.
