At the age of 15, Chef Mark Moriarty’s summer holidays in Dingle was spent in the kitchen. In Dublin, he earned his degree in culinary arts and had worked at two of the best restaurants in Ireland. In 2013, he was awarded the title of Irish Young Chef of the Year. By 2015, he was running his pop-up 'Culinary Counter' in Dublin with fellow Chef Ciaran Sweeney. Chef Moriarty food is simple, confident and focused. Dishes are classically based while presenting Irish food in a new and innovative way. Since winning the 2015 S.Pellegrino Young Chef of the Year, Chef Moriarty was exposed to numerous opportunities to showcase his talent to the world.
This year, from 11 April – 14 April 2016, indulge in his creations at JAAN. Visit
